I’m a licensed psychotherapist practising in Cheshire and
North Staffordshire.
I gained my Master’s degree from the University of Manchester in 2011.
Having worked in both clinical NHS and private settings, my places of work have included The Family Centre (Altrincham), Oakwood House – The North West Centre for Eating Disorders (Stockport) as well as private practice in Cheshire.
In 2013 I was short-listed for Cheshire Woman of the Year for my pro bono work setting up a pet bereavement drop-in, the first of its kind in the UK.
Outside of therapy, I’m an author, an adoptive mother of three and my interests include walking, swimming, wildlife, reading and meditation.
My Approach
I’m an integrative psychotherapist, working to a client-centred approach and selecting appropriate therapeutic inputs from a variety of schools, including Rogerian (person-centred) and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy).

About Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy and counselling are both forms of ‘talking therapies’, which can help with a wide variety of difficult issues in life.
These can range from anxiety, depression, childhood trauma and eating disorders through self-harm, relationships and phobias through to panic attacks, anger management and end-of-life preparations.
A safe, nurturing, confidential and non-judgmental space is provided for you to discuss your personal issues over 50-minute sessions. The aim is to arrive at a clearer understanding of the self, to remove ‘blocks’ and to find strategies that will help you navigate life more easily.
